Summary of Position:
The project engineer designs and drafts food processing and packaging equipment, plant layouts, and parts; this position establishes budgets and timelines for capital projects and manages systems installations.
Functions Performed:
Designs, redesigns, or modifies required areas and implements changes to resolve problems and improve equipment/systems performance and reliability.Prepares completed layouts for final equipment/system design from simple sketches and/or vendor supplied drawings for all company locations.Manages new equipment purchases by working closely with vendors to ensure equipment meets manufacturing requirements.
