Project Engineer - HV Substations

Responsibilities

• Project Planning & Execution: Develop detailed project scopes, schedules, cost estimates, and resource plans; create and maintain project execution documents (WBS, Gantt charts, risk registers); coordinate with clients, utilities, and regulatory bodies to secure permits and approvals; coordinate between client, IESO, HONI to ensure SIA, CIA, COVER are understood and followed during design, construction, and commissioning.
• Technical Design & Engineering: Review and validate single‑line diagrams, protection schemes, grounding studies, general arrangements, and equipment specifications (transformers, breakers, GIS/AIS, switchgear, busbars, etc.); ensure designs comply with IEC, IEEE, ESA, ANSI, and local utility standards.
