Job Description Project Engineer Mon - Fri, 7 AM - 3:30 PM Looking for an experienced Project Engineer for a local manufacturing client that is a leader in their industry. Quality and continuous improvement are key to their success along with striving to improve their products and services and listening to their customers. This is an excellent opportunity to share your engineering knowledge and provide vision working with sales and manufacturing on the design and manufacturing of their products according to customer specs while adhering to standard manufacturing guidelines. Responsibilities will include: Independently perform most assignments with guidance from the Engineering Manager; receive technical guidance on unusual or complex problems. Combine various techniques & technologies to create industry leading designs & solutions. Conduct studies as assigned to develop new concepts & designs for incorporation into the end product. As a fully competent engineer in all conventional aspects of project & design engineering, plan and conduct work requiring judgement in the independent evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures and criteria. Devise new approaches to problems encountered. Conduct FEA on designs and participate in the testing and data acquisition of mock-ups and prototypes to confirm design functions & ensure reliability & safety. Coordinate implementation of assigned department projects with appropriate production personnel including implementation of the Lean Principle of Manufacturing. Manage & propose both large & small projects in a gated development cycle; maintain schedule of project phases and regularly report status to appropriate project sponsors. Contribute to high level planning to achieve company goals & objectives. Proficiently implement design changes; demonstrate & foster effective communication & teamwork. Responsible for design safety, required safety decals and conduct FMEA on projects assigned. Responsible for supervising team members on assigned projects. Requirements: Bachelor Degree in Engineering; Mechanical and/or PE preferred. 3 years of previous engineering experience including structural design, project management, parametric modeling, FEA, Microsoft AX, Microsoft Office, Data Acquisition, PLC Programming. Competent & able to use 2D and 3D CAD software proficiently. Valid passport required for occasional international travel. Travel to company worksites as required; valid driver's license & insurable on company policy. Solid job tenure in previous positions. Ability to report to work punctually at the beginning of the workday. Ability to read & understand production & print orders. Ability to meet physical demands including climbing on, around and under equipment as needed in inclement conditions. It's our job to get you hired (and we do it for FREE)! Interested?
