Project Management, Assistant Director page is loaded## Project Management, Assistant Directorlocations: NTU Main Campus, Singaporetime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: R The Singapore Indoor Farming Systems (SingFarm) is a new CREATE programme led by NTU Singapore and Wageningen University and Research (WUR), to use a systems approach to develop an efficient indoor farming system. SingFarm hosted at CCEB-NTU will embark on R&D activities (encompassing plant science, energy water and zero waste farming) to help enhance Singapore’s urban food production capabilities. SingFarm is part of the Singapore Food Story R&D Programme (SFS), with participation of local institutions (National University of Singapore, Temasek Life Science Laboratory and Republic Polytechnic) and supported by National Research Foundation (NRF) and Singapore Food Agency (SFA).As a key member of the SingFarm core team, the Assistant Director will work with the SingFarm Directors to provide overall management of the operations and administration of the project and team.**Responsibilities:*** As a key member of the SingFarm core team, the **Assistant Director (SingFarmS)** will be responsible for the following: + Serve as the key coordinator for SingFarmS, a new initiative involving multi-agencies (NRF and SFA), multi-institutions (NTU, WUR, TLL, RP) and large grant quantum (S$25M). + Serve as the key lead for the SingFarm partnership, representing participating institutions and overseeing strategic initiatives. + Provide comprehensive oversight for operational and financial administration, ensuring the effective management of all SingFarm activities. + Drive the promotion of research capabilities to industry stakeholders and proactively identify new collaboration opportunities. + Coordinate and host industry engagement activities, including visits and meetings, to strengthen institutional ties. + Cultivate and expand networks with industry partners, managing significant collaboration portfolios and fostering long-term strategic relationships.**Requirements:*** **Assistant Director (SingFarm)** should have the following qualifications: + Degree in Science related fields and experience in business development would be an advantage. + Good business acumen, resourceful and is a team player. + Strong network and working knowledge of the Singapore research, and food industry environment. + Excellent written and spoken communication skills.We regret to inform that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.Hiring Institution: NTUNTU is also home to world-class autonomous institutes – the National Institute of Education, S Rajaratnam School of International Studies, Earth Observatory of Singapore, and Singapore Centre for Environmental Life Sciences Engineering – and various leading research centres such as the Nanyang Environment & Water Research Institute (NEWRI) and Energy Research Institute @ NTU ( ).Ranked amongst the world’s top universities by QS, NTU has also been named the world’s top young university for the past seven years.
