We’re seeking an experienced and collaborative Construction Project Manager who thrives when people are in sync and projects are running not just on time but within budget. Based at our client's sites in the Albany area, you will report directly to the Sr. Project Manager and will work alongside other project team members focusing on project in the conception to close out phase. You’ll manage various projects using established controls/procedures and provide job site leadership in all areas of scheduling, safety, quality, coordination with the designers and any critical issues pertinent to the project or the client's facility and have a full working knowledge of the change order and cost review process and the review/approval of contractor’s payment application.

  • Coordinate work with architectural and engineering consultants and project managers to achieve design deliverable milestones.
  • Read, review, interpret and comprehend design documents provided by the project design team for quality and accuracy.
  • Confer with client agencies to ensure they receive design documents for review and communicate inconsistencies with the project managers.
  • Monitor work and materials to ensure quality control standards are met at various stages of the project.
  • Manage design review sessions utilizing the BlueBeam Revu program for all New York State Office of General Services client agencies.
  • Provide final design document reviews prior to submitting to Contract Management and Permitting departments to ensure they are up to quality standards prior to advertising projects for bid.
  • Provide knowledge and direction to architectural and engineering consultants and project managers in making necessary revisions to design documents.
  • Provide training and mentoring to project management and support teams on design processes and procedures within the organization.
  • Work with executive management to improve quality in the organizations processes and procedures and publish a new Design Procedures Manual.
  • Identify and resolve problems and conflicts, organizing meetings and cooperating with team members in various roles as necessary.
  • Here's what you'll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture or Construction
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in construction involving multiple phases of construction with projected valued above 5 million dollars.
  • Related education, in the form of college credit or degree, or professional certification may be acceptable as partial or fulfillment of experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of pre-design and pre-construction, contract management, project delivery methods, building systems/components and technology, team building, and client relationship building 
  • Must be able to manage 4-5 projects using established controls/procedures and provide job site leadership in all areas of scheduling, safety, quality, coordination with the designers and any critical issues pertinent to the project 
  • Work will require access to secure facilities and employment will require a background check

    Posted Salary Range: Minimum 93,000.00 Posted Salary Range: Upper 113,000.00

    The base salary range for this position is $93,000.00 to $113,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
