Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the development of small automotive inverter projects. The role involves end-to-end project ownership, cross-functional coordination, and technical leadership in automotive ECU and inverter development, ensuring delivery in line with quality, cost, and timeline requirements.
This is 'Work from Office' position only, Mon-Fri 9 AM to 6 PM

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage automotive ECU / inverter development projects with cross-functional teams of 30+ members
- Own project planning, scheduling, risk management, and progress tracking
- Act as the primary interface between customers, internal engineering teams, and global stakeholders
- Drive technical decision-making and issue resolution across system, software, hardware, and mechanical domains
- Ensure compliance with automotive quality standards, functional safety, and development processes
- Foster a strong challenge mindset to drive innovation in inverter development
Required Experience (in Order of Priority)
1. Automotive ECU Project Management (Mandatory)
Proven experience in Project Management for Automotive ECU development
Experience managing large development teams (30+ members)
Strong challenge mindset, particularly for inverter or power electronics development
2. High-Voltage, High-Power On-board Inverter Development (Powertrain)
Hands-on experience in one or more of the following areas:
- System Design: System architecture, Functional Safety (ISO 26262), requirements definition
- Control Software Design: Motor control algorithms, AUTOSAR, embedded software
- Circuit & Board Design: Control circuits, power devices (IGBT, Si C), PCB design
- Mechanical Design: Cooling channels, housing/casing, busbars, thermal management
3. On-board DC/DC Converters or On-board Chargers (Powertrain)
Experience in DC/DC converters or on-board chargers for automotive powertrain systems
4. Automotive ECUs (Non-Powertrain)
Experience in automotive ECUs other than powertrain systems
5. Non-Automotive Applications
Relevant experience in non-automotive products or systems
Exposure to system, software, hardware, or mechanical design

- Experience working in a matrix and multicultural environment
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or related engineering discipline
Exposure to Japanese or global automotive OEM/Tier-1 working culture (preferred)
