Construction Project Manager – Data Center Projects
A nationally recognized general contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead large-scale data center projects. This role is responsible for managing all phases of construction, from preconstruction through project closeout, with a strong emphasis on schedule, cost control, quality, and coordination of complex building systems.
The ideal candidate has proven experience delivering mission-critical facilities and understands the unique demands of data center construction, including fast-paced schedules, high levels of coordination, and strict performance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full project lifecycle for data center construction projects
- Oversee project budgets, cost reporting, forecasting, and change management
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules; identify and mitigate risks
- Coordinate closely with superintendents, subcontractors, consultants, and internal teams
- Lead project meetings with owners, designers, and key stakeholders
- Manage procurement of long-lead items and critical equipment
- Oversee submittals, RFIs, change orders, and pay applications
- Support preconstruction efforts including constructability reviews and logistics planning
- Manage project closeout, commissioning coordination, and turnover documentation
Required Experience & Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager on data center or mission-critical projects
- Strong understanding of MEP systems, power distribution, and critical infrastructure
- Experience managing fast-track or phased construction schedules
- Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and complex coordination efforts
- Proficiency with project management software (Procore, Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar)
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
- Equivalent construction experience will be considered
