Position Summary:


The Project Manager will lead and manage the entire (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation,

civil etc.) end-to-end execution of both brownfield expansion and greenfield new set-up projects

Locations with a primary focus on Dahej.


Roles & Responsibilities:


• Plan, coordinate, and manage all phases of brownfield and greenfield projects from initial

conception through commissioning.

• Identify, evaluate, and select engineering, civil, and architectural consultants, contractors, and

vendors aligned to project needs.

• Review and approve basic and detailed engineering designs, ensuring compliance with

specifications and regulatory standards.

• Coordinate effectively with Production, Engineering, and Quality departments to finalize

equipment selection, process piping, and utility requirements.

• Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers and contractors to optimize costs and

schedule adherence.

• Supervise the commissioning activities of the entire project.

• Ensure smooth execution of brownfield projects minimizing operational downtime.

• Oversee greenfield project execution ensuring full compliance with safety, environmental, and

legal guidelines.

• Maintain comprehensive project schedules, budgets, risk assessments, and status reports for

senior management.

• Facilitate finalization of as-built drawings and layouts for utilities including electrical, steam,

gas, AC, and water systems.

• Provide post-project support for seamless transition and operational troubleshooting.

Qualification & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering (MBA in Project Management preferred)

• Minimum 12 years of experience managing projects in bulk drug or pharmaceutical

manufacturing, covering both greenfield and brownfield environments

• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to lead cross-functional teams

and interact with external stakeholders

• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with organized planning and

problem-solving skills

• Assertive, proactive, and a team player with leadership qualities to drive project success

• Exposure to design, installation, and operational processes is an added advantage

• Knowledge of regulatory standards and safety compliance in pharma manufacturing projects
