Project Manager – IS (Individual Section) Machine

Position: Project Manager – IS Machine

Industry: Glass Bottle Manufacturing / Container Glass

Location: Vadodara, Gujarat

Experience: 5–12 years in IS machine operations, maintenance, commissioning, or project handling

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Planning & Execution

Lead installation, commissioning, and upgrades of IS (Individual Section) glass bottle forming machines.

Prepare project timelines, resource plans, and budgets.

Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams for smooth project delivery.

2. Technical Responsibilities

Understand hot-end operations including feeders, shearing, gob distributor, IS machine, molds, blank & blow sections.

Ensure correct setup of forming section, timing settings, lubrication systems, pneumatics, and PLC controls.

Monitor production parameters to achieve proper gob weight, thickness distribution, neck and body accuracy.

3. Quality & Process Control

Work closely with QC to maintain defect-free bottle production (seeds, cracks, neck defects, wall thickness issues, etc.).

Support cold-end inspection line integration and quality improvement projects.

Implement process improvements to reduce rejection and increase productivity.

4. Documentation & Reporting

Maintain machine logs, maintenance schedules, breakdown reports, and performance analysis.

Prepare weekly progress reports for management.

5. Team Coordination

Supervise technicians, operators, mold fitters, and maintenance teams.

Conduct training for operators on IS machine operation and safety.

6. Safety & Compliance

Ensure compliance with plant safety standards.

Maintain proper furnace-hot-end safety guidelines while testing machine operations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical

Strong knowledge of IS machine operation, assembling, timing, pneumatics, and hydraulic systems.

Experience with forming section molds, mold change, neck ring change, and production start-up.

Knowledge of commercial terms in the area of domestic and import procurements.

Excellent communication and project execution skills.
