Civil Project Manager – Capital Projects
  
Location: Adelaide (Hybrid – Office & Site Based)
Start Date: Late February
Contract Duration: 6 months (strong potential for extension)
Roster: 5/2
  
Role Overview  
We are seeking an experienced Civil Project Manager to lead the delivery of sustaining capital and major civil infrastructure projects within the mining and resources sector, with a strong focus on copper operations.
  
This role will be responsible for end-to-end project delivery across greenfield and brownfield environments, ensuring projects are executed safely, on schedule, and within budget while meeting strict quality and compliance standards.
  
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead civil capital projects from concept through execution and close-out
  • Manage sustaining capital portfolios and major project workstream
  • Oversee contractor performance, scope, cost, and schedule control
  • Interface with operations, engineering, HSE and commercial team
  • Ensure compliance with site standards, governance and safety systems
  • Manage risk, change control, and reporting to senior stakeholders
  • Support brownfield upgrades and greenfield developments
  • Drive continuous improvement in project delivery practices
Required Skill Set
  • Strong background in civil project delivers
  • Extensive experience in:
  • Sustaining capital projects
  • Major mining infrastructure projects
  • Greenfield and brownfield development
  • Mining & resources environments
Proven experience in:
  • Copper operations (highly regarded)
  • Contractor management
  • Cost control, scheduling & risk management
  • High level of stakeholder engagement capability
  • Strong safety leadership and compliance focus
  • BHP project experience highly desirable
  • Exposure to large scale resource projects in South Australia
