Project Planner

Assignment Description

We are seeking an experienced Project Planner with a strong background in onshore energy projects to support the planning, scheduling, and delivery of complex projects. The Planner will play a key role in developing and maintaining project schedules, tracking progress, and ensuring alignment with project objectives, timelines, and budgets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules for onshore energy projects

  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and construction teams to define scope, milestones, and deliverables

  • Monitor project progress and identify schedule risks, delays, and mitigation strategies

  • Perform schedule analysis, including critical path and impact assessments

  • Prepare regular planning and progress reports for internal and external stakeholders

  • Support cost and resource planning activities in coordination with project controls teams

  • Ensure compliance with company standards, project controls procedures, and contractual requirements

  • Qualifications Required

  • Candidates must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. and reside within the United States. Remote work from outside the US is not permitted.

  • Minimum of 10-15 years of experience on projects encompassing engineering, construction, commissioning and start-up phases

  • Fluent in development and analysis of Oracle Primavera P6 schedules

  • Ability to extract insights from a P6 schedule and support efforts by the project team to mitigate delays

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Able to work well across a broad internal and external stakeholder group

  • Excited about emerging AI applications and how these can be leveraged to improve project outcomes. Experience with some of these applications is a plus but not required. 

  • Experience with onshore energy projects.

  • Familiarity with construction activities across full range of trades: civil, mechanical, electrical, I&C

  • Location: Position is remote, but candidate must be willing to travel to site periodically once construction commences in spring 2026. The project has four sites all located in southwest Minnesota.
