The Industrial Engineer will be responsible for managing material flow design and optimizing the movement of the production line. The role involves utilizing lean, six sigma, and kanban tools to enhance efficiency, minimize waste, and improve cycle times. Working within an automated machinery environment, the Industrial Engineer will engage with OEMs, robots, PLCs, conveyor systems, and material movement.
Responsibilities
+ Analyze and optimize material flow and processes.
+ Conduct time studies to model material movement.
+ Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Standard Work Instructions (SWI).
+ Identify and implement improvement projects and conduct root cause analysis for production and maintenance issues.
+ Collaborate with the operations team on program deliverables.
