Summary
The Project Scheduler is responsible for developing, updating, and managing project schedules to ensure the timely execution of all project phases. This role supports construction and engineering projects by coordinating timelines across multidisciplinary teams, analyzing schedule performance, and providing accurate forecasts to support decision-making. The Scheduler will work on-site in Guaynabo, collaborating closely with project managers, construction supervisors, contractors, and stakeholders to maintain alignment with project goals, milestones, and resource requirements.

The Scheduler will work on-site in Guaynabo, collaborating closely with project managers, construction supervisors, contractors, and stakeholders to maintain alignment with project goals, milestones, and resource requirements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Schedule Development & Maintenance
- Create, manage, and optimize project schedules using Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
- Break down project scope into work breakdown structures (WBS) and define activity sequencing, durations, logical relationships, and dependencies.
- Establish schedule baselines and ensure schedule data integrity through proper coding, calendars, and documentation practices.
2. Progress Monitoring & Analysis
- Track construction progress, update schedule activities, and adjust forecasts based on actual performance data.
- Perform critical path analysis, evaluate schedule variances, and identify delays or risks that may impact project deadlines.
- Conduct “what-if” scenarios to evaluate mitigation options and recovery plans when schedule deviations occur.
3. Reporting & Communication
- Prepare weekly and monthly schedule reports, including Gantt charts, milestone summaries, progress curves, variance reports, and look-ahead schedules.
- Present schedule status updates to project managers, construction supervisors, and leadership teams.
- Provide clear documentation of schedule changes and maintain version control.
4. Stakeholder Coordination
- Collaborate with engineering, construction, procurement, and contractor teams to align timelines, deliverables, and resource availability.
- Facilitate schedule review meetings and ensure stakeholders understand upcoming activities, constraints, and critical paths.
- Support project managers with execution control, planning sessions, and schedule-driven decision-making.
5. Risk & Forecast Management
- Identify schedule-related risks and support the development of mitigation strategies.
- Analyze forecasting data to predict potential delays and adjust timelines proactively.
- Ensure adherence to schedule governance standards and project controls processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related discipline (preferred).
- Previous experience as a Project Scheduler supporting construction, engineering, or infrastructure projects.
- Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project for schedule creation, tracking, and analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze critical paths, evaluate schedule impacts, and prepare accurate forecasts.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with project teams, contractors, and senior stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skill.
- Understanding of cost/schedule integration or earned value management (EVM).
