Property Accountant

Property Accountant Location : Dallas, TX Salary Range: $70-100K (based on experience) Overview We are seeking a Property Accountant to manage accounting and financial reporting for a portfolio of commercial properties. This role partners closely with property management to ensure accurate, timely financials. Responsibilities Manage property-level accounting, general ledger, and month-end close Prepare monthly financial statements, variance reports, and reconciliations Review leases, rent rolls, tenant ledgers, and CAM reconciliations Prepare journal entries and maintain balance sheet accuracy Assist with budgets, construction draws, and job cost tracking Review AP, cash receipts, and ownership funding and distributions Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance 3 years of commercial property accounting experience CPA or CPA candidate preferred Knowledge of lease accounting and CAM reconciliations Experience with Yardi, MRI, or similar systems Strong attention to detail and communication skills We are proactively building a pipeline of Property Accountants for current and future hiring needs.
