About the OpportunityWe are seeking an experienced Underwriter to join our Miramarteam and provide exceptional service to the broker market. This role involves building strong relationships with brokers, delivering accurate underwriting solutions, and supporting the company's brand presence within the network. You will play a key part in assessing risks, issuing terms, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities- Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers and clients to ensure satisfaction and long term partnerships.
- Review, assess, and issue underwriting terms for new business, renewals, alterations, and cancellations in line with company guidelines.
- Identify client needs and develop tailored solutions while promoting the company's brand within the broker network.
- Ensure compliance with underwriting standards, accurate record keeping, and adherence to delegated authority limits.
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver exceptional customer service and support process improvements.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in insurance or underwriting, with sound knowledge of industry practices.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt quickly to change.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel, with strong organisational skills.
- PS146 compliance or willingness to obtain qualifications to meet financial services regulatory requirements.
