Job Description

About the Job

The Propulsion Integration Engineer will be responsible for end-to-end mechanical and fluid-system integration of liquid rocket engines, ensuring seamless assembly, functional compatibility, test readiness, and flight qualification. The role requires cross-functional coordination, strong system-level thinking, and a deep understanding of propulsion hardware.

RESPONSIBILITIS:

  • Responsible for designing, modeling, and detailing complex parts and assemblies for liquid rocket stages using earth-storable and cryogenic propellants, and generating manufacturing drawings aligned with build sequences.
  • Select and apply aerospace-grade materials, mechanical and structural joints (fasteners, rivets, etc.), tooling, and integration methods during assembly.
  • Apply and interpret GD&T to ensure compliance between engineering intent and manufacturing execution.
  • Plan and execute pipe routing for rigid and flexible lines, including rigid pipe bending, end-fitting selection, welding, sealing, and qualification through hydraulic and pneumatic proof pressure testing.
  • Implement aerospace integration standards, quality norms, and associated processes throughout assembly and testing activities.
  • Execute end-to-end product development activities from configuration design through realization and final assembly.
  • Independently assemble mechanical structures, fixtures, and jigs in accordance with approved procedures.
  • Identify system-level issues during integration and testing and provide timely, practical engineering solutions.
  • Perform part inspection and operate precision measuring instruments to ensure dimensional and quality compliance.
  • Prepare and maintain assembly procedures, work instructions, and checklists.
  • Handle and integrate explosive assemblies in compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate closely with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to obtain technical clearances and resolve non-conformances.
  • Manage propellant handling and transportation activities in support of testing operations.
