Protection technician

Our client, a leading Canberra-based Distribution Network Service Provider (DNSP), is seeking a skilled Protection & Control Technician to support the construction, maintenance, testing, and commissioning of protection and SCADA control systems across their electricity network.

In this role, you will contribute to a wide range of electrical field activities and maintain core competencies across both protection and SCADA systems. While you may specialize in one area, ongoing professional development is encouraged to build and sustain the capability required for first-line on call duties.

You will play an important role in ensuring high standards of safety, environmental compliance, and quality management across all work activities. This includes participating in job risk assessments, incident reporting, and adhering to all relevant safe work procedures and regulatory requirements.
