Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (NP, APRN, APN) Contract Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our team on a 1099 contract basis. This position offers flexibility to work in a true private practice setting, either via telehealth or in-office, providing comprehensive mental health services to diverse patient populations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations, including comprehensive intake assessments and initial diagnoses
- Provide individual, family, and group psychotherapy in accordance with clinical best practices
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans in collaboration with patients and interdisciplinary team members
- Prescribe psychiatric medications within scope of practice, monitoring and adjusting treatment as necessary
- Deliver crisis intervention services promptly and effectively
- Maintain accurate, complete, and timely clinical documentation in compliance with organizational policies and accreditation standards (e.g., Joint Commission)
- Communicate proactively with team members, primary care providers, and other stakeholders to ensure coordinated care
- Participate in ongoing professional development, including completing Continuing Education (CE) courses
- Perform any additional duties within the scope of practice to meet client needs
Qualifications:
- Valid and current Nurse Practitioner license and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) certification in the state(s) you practice
- Specialized training or experience in psychiatry or mental health nursing
- Knowledge of medication management, psychiatric assessment tools, and evidence-based practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with telehealth technology preferred
