We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Punjabi & Hindi News Writer to create accurate, engaging, and timely news content for digital and/or print platforms. The ideal candidate should have a strong command of both languages, a good understanding of current affairs, and the ability to write clear, factual, and audience-focused news stories.
Key Responsibilities
Write, edit, and proofread news articles in Punjabi and Hindi
Cover local, national, and international news, including politics, society, health, business, and entertainment
Research stories using reliable sources and verify facts before publishing
Rewrite and translate news content between Punjabi, Hindi, and English when required
Follow editorial guidelines, deadlines, and ethical journalism standards
Optimize content for digital platforms (headlines, keywords, readability)
Coordinate with editors, reporters, and the digital team for content planning
Update breaking news quickly and accurately
Required Skills & Qualifications
Strong writing and grammar skills in Punjabi and Hindi
Basic understanding of journalism principles and news writing formats
Ability to research, analyze, and present information clearly
Familiarity with current affairs and trending news topics
Basic computer skills and experience with CMS or digital publishing tools
Ability to work under tight deadlines
Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, or a related field
Prior experience as a news writer, reporter, or content writer
Knowledge of SEO and digital media trends
Ability to read and understand English news sources
