Position: Purchase Executive

Department: Procurement / Supply Chain

Location: As per requirement

Experience Required: 2–5 years in Purchase / Procurement (Food Industry preferred)

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Vendor Management

  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers.
  • Maintain strong vendor relationships and negotiate best pricing.
  • Obtain quotations, evaluate offers, and finalize procurement terms.

2. Purchasing & Procurement

  • Prepare purchase orders (PO) as per company requirements.
  • Ensure timely procurement of raw materials, packaging, and consumables.
  • Track order status and follow up with vendors for on-time delivery.
  • Maintain adequate inventory levels as per stock norms.

3. Cost Control

  • Negotiate rates to reduce procurement costs.
  • Monitor market trends and price fluctuations.
  • Ensure cost-effective purchasing without compromising quality.

4. Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain purchase records, bills, and delivery notes.
  • Verify vendor invoices and coordinate with accounts for payment.
  • Prepare daily/weekly purchase reports.

5. Coordination

  • Coordinate with production, warehouse, and store teams for material planning.
  • Ensure quality standards are met as per company requirements.
  • Handle urgency-based purchases during shortages.

6. Compliance & Quality

  • Ensure vendor compliance with company policies and quality standards.
  • Maintain audit-ready documentation and files.
  • Resolve any supply or quality-related issues.

Skills Required:

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Good knowledge of procurement processes
  • Vendor management and market knowledge
  • MS Excel, ERP/SAP/Tally (preferred)
  • Analytical and cost-saving mindset
