Purchasing & Inventory Officer
West Perth | $120,000 - $140,000 + Super

Purchasing & Inventory Officer to support site-based procurement and inventory activities across multiple operations in Western Australia. This role works closely with the Commercial Manager and site teams to ensure procurement processes are efficient, cost-effective, and aligned with industry best practice.
You will play a key role across the full procure-to-pay lifecycle, supporting operational continuity in a safety-focused, high-performance environment.
Key Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end procurement activities, including RFQs, tenders, evaluations, and recommendations

Negotiate pricing, contracts, and commercial terms with suppliers

Expedite purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery

Liaise with internal departments to support purchasing requirements

Resolve supplier disputes related to quantity, quality, and pricing

Process purchase orders, receipting, and transactions within PRONTO XI
-
Coordinate transport, collection, and despatch of goods
-
Assist with scheduling reagent and fuel deliveries
-
Maintain accurate procurement and inventory records
-
Support end-of-month and end-of-financial year reporting

Ensure compliance with dangerous goods handling, SDS, and regulatory requirements

Provide relief support to site-based purchasing and inventory teams, including travel to site as required

Contribute to continuous improvement of procurement processes and procedures
About You
You are a proactive and detail-oriented procurement professional with experience in the resources sector and the ability to work autonomously in dynamic environments.
Essential Requirements:

Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role within the resources industry

Strong experience with international low-cost procurement

Experience managing fixed and mobile plant spares

PRONTO XI ERP or SAP experience (essential)
Desirable:

Gold mining industry experience

Dangerous Goods storage and handling certification
-
Forklift ticket (up to 30T), HR licence, Senior First Aid
- Advanced Chinese language skills
