Job Description

As the Purchasing Officer, you will be part of the Purchasing Team responsible for co-ordinating and managing all raw materials, buy in and stocked products as well as ordering consumables for use across the business.

The Purchasing Team is solution orientated and works closely with our suppliers and other departments to ensure our customer’s orders are delivered in full, on time and to specification.

The role requires a person who is customer focused, efficient, well organised with good time management and people skills. As a part of the Purchasing Team, you will need to possess good negotiation skills, attention to detail and accuracy, and good computer skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Obtain and process quotations and generate purchase orders
  • Expedite outstanding orders with suppliers to ensure our customer orders are delivered complete and on time
  • Monitor and maintain accuracy of inventory using various reports and regular cycle counts
