Purchasing Specialist

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Purchasing Specialist with 5+ years of experience in IT and Software procurement to manage end-to-end purchasing activities. This role involves supplier negotiations, strategic sourcing, market analysis, and ensuring cost-effective procurement of IT hardware, software licenses, SaaS solutions, and services.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full procurement cycle for IT hardware, software licenses, SaaS platforms, and maintenance agreements.
• Prepare, review, and issue purchase orders in compliance with company policies and budgets.
• Identify, evaluate, and develop strategic relationships with IT and software vendors.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, licensing terms, SLAs, and renewal agreements.
• Monitor inventory levels and license usage to optimize costs and prevent shortages.
• Track orders and proactively follow up to ensure timely delivery and implementation.
• Analyze market trends, pricing models, and supplier performance to support sourcing decisions.
• Collaborate closely with IT, finance, legal, and operations teams.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, audit requirements, and software licensing regulations.
• Resolve complex procurement issues related to delays, quality, compliance, or vendor performance.

Requirements

Qualifications & Skills

• 5+ years of experience in IT & Software purchasing or procurement.
• Strong understanding of software licensing models (SaaS, perpetual, subscriptions).
• Proven experience in supplier negotiation and contract management.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cost-optimization skills.
• Advanced proficiency in ERP/procurement systems and MS Excel.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
