Job Description
The Purchasing Specialist will be responsible for handling of material orders and coordinate service requirements for a designated group of vessels.
Some of the things you’ll be doing

compliance as a top priority. Drive operational leadership. Receive and process all vessel requests for consumables and spare parts. Ensure that all requisitions received from vessel are handled and acted upon within 24 hours, special attention to be given to urgent requisitions. Obtain quotations from approved suppliers and place priced orders with overall most competitive sources, negotiate best possible price and obtain approval from Vessel Manager as required.
