PV Project Developer

Overview:
Leap29 are partnering with a leading renewable energy company seeking a PV Project Developer to join their team in Milan. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating with internal teams (Operations, Sales, M&A) and external partners to design and deliver commercial & industrial (C&I) photovoltaic projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct feasibility studies and energy yield analyses for PV systems ranging from 0.5 to 10 MWp.

  • Develop technical designs including system sizing, technology selection, material specifications, and budget estimation.

  • Collaborate with EPC partners, advisors, and suppliers to validate assumptions and optimize design solutions.

  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, technical standards, and grid connection requirements.

  • Support the Sales team with technical input and business development initiatives.

  • Assist the M&A team in technical due diligence, providing CAPEX and OPEX evaluations for acquisitions.

  • Align technical, commercial, and regulatory elements to ensure project viability.

  • Manage project documentation and handover to relevant internal teams.

  • Promote company HSE standards and contribute to continuous improvement of design tools and processes.

    • Qualifications and Skills:

  • Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Civil Engineering.

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role within the solar power industry.

  • Proficiency in MS Office and PV design tools (AutoCAD, PVSyst, CMMS, etc.).

  • Strong understanding of PV technology, including rooftop systems (advantageous).

  • Familiarity with Italian C&I PV regulations.

  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.

  • Driving license and willingness to travel regularly within Italy.

  • Fluent in Italian and English.
