QA Automation Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Meet with the software design team to discuss verification protocols.
  • Identify software application weaknesses and target areas.
  • Design automated software test procedures.
  • Review software bug reports and highlight problem areas.
  • Write automation scripts and implement software applications.
  • Design and install software databases.
  • Troubleshoot automation software and finalize system procedures.
  • Create test reports to identify quality issues.
  • Collaborate with the design team to resolve application faults.

QA Automation Engineer Requirements:

  • Experience with Cypress.
  • Experience writing scripts in JavaScript.
  • Experience with manual testing and tools like qTest and TestRail.
  • Ability to differentiate between functional and performance testing; design, execute, and document both.
  • Experience with jUnit, JMeter.
  • Experience testing REST APIs.
  • Understanding of unit testing vs. integration testing.
  • Familiarity with code coverage analysis.
  • Optional: Generate execution plans and analyze query performance.
  • 3+ years of experience as a QA automation engineer.
  • Advanced programming skills, including automation systems and databases.
  • Knowledge of application functions, bug fixing, and testing protocols.
  • Eagerness for manual and automated testing practices.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Good project management skills.
