Job Description

We are hiring a QA Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Playwright using TypeScript, combined with a solid foundation in manual testing. This role requires someone who can independently handle test automation while also performing thorough manual testing to ensure overall product quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites using Playwright with TypeScript
  • Perform manual testing including functional, regression, smoke, sanity, and exploratory testing
  • Create detailed test cases, test scenarios, and test plans from requirements and user stories
  • Execute and maintain End-to-End (E2E), integration, and UI tests
  • Identify, document, track, and verify bugs with clear reproduction steps
  • Work closely with developers and product stakeholders to ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle
  • Ensure adequate test coverage for new features and prevent regressions
  • Contribute to improving QA processes, standards, and automation reliability
  • Integrate and run automated tests as part of CI/CD pipelines (where applicable)
Mandatory Skills & Qualifications
  • 2+ years of proven experience with Playwright for test automation
  • 2+ years of proven experience in Manual Testing
  • Strong proficiency in TypeScript
  • Solid understanding of different testing types, including:
  • Functional Testing
  • Regression Testing
  • Smoke & Sanity Testing
  • Integration Testing
  • End-to-End (E2E) Testing
  • Basic API Testing (Postman or similar tools)
  • Experience in writing and maintaining clear, structured test cases
  • Familiarity with bug tracking and test management tools (Jira or similar)
  • Good understanding of SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies
Good to Have (Optional)
  • Experience integrating Playwright tests with CI/CD pipelines
  • Basic understanding of performance or security testing concepts
  • Experience testing modern web applications (SPA, REST APIs)
  • Familiarity with Git and version control workflows

Competitive Compensation
  • Compensation of ₹30,000 – ₹35,000 per month in-hand
