Job Description: QA Engineer (Manual + Automation)

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented QA Engineer with 3+ years of hands-on experience in testing web applications. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in manual testing and mandatory hands-on experience in test automation in at least one project. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure high-quality, reliable software releases.

Key Responsibilities

·      Understand business requirements, functional specifications, and technical designs

·      Design, write, and execute test cases (functional, regression, sanity, smoke)

·      Identify, log, track, and verify defects using defect tracking tools

·      Perform API testing and basic database validation (SQL queries)

·      Actively contribute to automation test case design, scripting, and execution

·      Participate in sprint planning, requirement reviews, and retrospectives

·      Collaborate closely with development teams to ensure timely issue resolution

·      Ensure test coverage across web and mobile browsers

·      Prepare test reports and quality metrics

·      Support UAT and production verification when required

Required Skills & Qualifications

·      3+ years of experience in QA/testing web applications

·      Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum

·      Mandatory automation experience in at least one project with tools such as Selenium, Cypress

·      Strong hands-on experience in manual & automation testing

·      Basic scripting knowledge (JavaScript or Java)

·      Hands-on experience with test case creation and defect tracking tools (JIRA, etc.)

·      Understanding of REST APIs and tools like Postman

·      Strong analytical and communication skills

Good to Have

·      Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.)

·      Experience with Git or version control systems

·      Basic understanding of performance, stress & security testing
