Opportunity – QA Engineer (Mid/Senior)

About the role

We are looking for a QA Engineer (mid/senior) to collaborate with one of Capitole's top digital clients, contributing to a
core digital product
with high visibility and impact.

You will play a key role in ensuring the quality, stability, and performance of both web and mobile (iOS) applications. Working closely with Product Owners, technical leads, and development teams, you will help shape testing strategies, strengthen quality practices, and drive continuous improvement across all testing layers.

This is a hands-on role where you will lead testing activities, promote best practices, and collaborate in an Agile (Scrum) environment to deliver top-quality features in every sprint.

What you'll do

Design, define, and execute
test plans
covering functional and non-functional requirements.

Implement and run
automated tests
(E2E, functional) using tools like
Karate
,
Cypress
, and
XCUItest
for iOS.

Perform
exploratory testing
to identify edge cases and hidden defects.

Execute
performance and load tests
using tools such as
K6
or JMeter.

Work closely with the Product Owner to analyze requirements, refine stories, and participate in grooming sessions.

Ensure adherence to
DOR (Definition of Ready)
and
DOD (Definition of Done)
throughout the sprint.

Lead grooming discussions together with the PO and tech leads, aligning expectations and test scenarios.

Collaborate with developers to embed quality into all development stages and promote best testing practices.

Work across all layers of the
Testing Pyramid
, ensuring the right strategy and coverage.

Document test cases, scenarios, defects, and results using Jira/Xray or similar tools.

Validate REST APIs using
Postman
and Swagger.

Ensure high code quality through integration with
GitHub
, GitFlow workflows, and CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps.

Support monitoring and observability using Grafana or similar tools.

Participate actively in Scrum ceremonies, proactively identifying risks, issues, and improvements during the sprint.

Must Have

4+ years of experience in QA roles (functional & automation).

Strong knowledge of
Jira
,
Confluence
, GitFlow, GitHub (Code, Actions) and version control best practices.

Experience with
Azure DevOps
and CI/CD pipelines (user level).

Solid experience with automated testing using
Karate
and
Cypress
; experience with
XCUItest
for iOS testing.

Strong command of
Gherkin
language and BDD workflows.

Strong understanding of the
Testing Pyramid
and how to apply it effectively.

Experience testing
iOS mobile apps
and
web applications
(functional & non-functional).

Hands-on experience with API testing tools such as Postman.

Ability to design, build, and execute
test plans
, including functional, performance, and exploratory tests.

Familiarity with
BFF architectures
and microservices.

Experience working in
Scrum
teams and following Agile quality practices.

Ability to guide teams on testing methodologies and ensure continuous quality alignment.

Nice to Have

Experience with SonarQube or SonarCloud.

GitHub Actions for automation.

Performance testing using
K6
.

Experience with
Grafana
for monitoring dashboards.

Knowledge of Traffic Parrott or similar mocking tools.

Swagger/API Rest experience at an advanced level.
