Job Description
- Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the QA team in planning, executing, and reporting on manual and automated tests
- Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies, plans, and cases
- Coordinate with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure test coverage
- Oversee defect tracking, prioritization, and resolution
- Ensure timely delivery of test results and quality metrics
- Review test scripts and automation frameworks
- Guide team members on best QA practices, tools, and methodologies
- Conduct risk analysis and contribute to go/no-go decisions
- Continuously improve QA processes, tools, and efficiency
- Provide mentorship, training, and performance feedback to QA team members
- Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in QA, with at least 1–2 years in a leadership role
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies
- Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail)
- Proficiency in writing and executing test cases (manual and automated)
- Familiarity with automation tools like Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, or similar
- Knowledge of API testing (e.g., Postman, REST-assured)
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
