About the role :

Senior individual contributor role requiring strong expertise in manual testing, functional validation, end-to-end workflows, and QA ownership for complex enterprise platforms. Responsible for independently planning, executing, and delivering high-quality test outcomes for assigned modules/features, with close cross-functional collaboration and minimal people-management duties.


Education :

B. Tech/BE from a recognized university.


Responsibilities, Experience & Skillsets

Key Responsibilities :

- Independently plan, design, and execute comprehensive test coverage for assigned modules or features, ensuring alignment with internal QA standards and business workflows.

- Create high-quality test plans, test cases, and QA documentation focusing on maintainability, clarity, and completeness.

- Perform hands-on testing across functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end scenarios for highly complex enterprise systems.

- Collaborate closely with automation teams to integrate manual-to-automation transition, review test coverage, and support hybrid frameworks (Selenium/Appium/keyword-driven/data-driven).

- Conduct deep impact analysis for new features and enhancements, determining regression scope and risk areas.

- Own QA deliverables end-to-end—including planning, execution, test readiness sign-off, and release quality assessment.

- Track, analyze, and report QA metrics (coverage, defect trends, severity distribution, risk areas) to stakeholders and product leadership.

- Participate in UAT and production validation, ensuring real-world workflows and customer scenarios are validated thoroughly.

- Maintain traceability matrices, dashboards, and documentation needed for audits and continuous improvement.

- Collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders (Product, Engineering, DevOps) to clarify requirements, raise risks early, and ensure test readiness.

- Provide functional guidance to junior QA engineers as needed.

- Identify process gaps, propose improvements, and drive QA best practices aligned with Agile delivery cycles.

- Ensure strict adherence to QA processes, release checklists, and compliance guidelines.

- Stay updated on new QA tools, methodologies, and testing techniques to improve productivity and quality.

- Demonstrate a high level of ownership, accountability, and problem-solving skills while managing multiple parallel projects.

- Adhere to prevailing Quoreka’s ISMS policies and procedures while delivering the duties.


Required Skills & Experience :

- 8–12 years of relevant software testing experience in a top-tier enterprise or product-based company.
- Strong ability to understand the product end-to-end, both from a customer experience and technical architecture perspective.
- Hands-on expertise in defining test strategies and detailed test plans, and ensuring their effective implementation.
- Advanced proficiency in defect management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, and similar).

- Deep analytical aptitude and experience handling complex, calculation-intensive functional testing scenarios.

- Expert knowledge of QA methodologies, including Agile, DevOps, and Continuous Testing practices.

- Hands-on automation experience with Selenium / Playwright with the ability to design and enhance test automation frameworks (keyword-driven, data-driven).

- Strong experience in debugging, root cause analysis, and maintaining test infrastructure for large, distributed systems.

- Skilled in defining, tracking, and reporting QA metrics/KPIs such as coverage, defect density, and quality trend analysis.

- Experience working in Agile / iterative SDLC environments with frequent releases and fast-paced delivery cycles.

- Basic understanding of any programming language (e.g., Java, Python, or TypeScript) for automation scripting and framework maintenance.

- Deep knowledge of integration, API, and UI testing using tools like Postman and UI-based testing utilities, including API response and data validation.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills with attention to detail.

- Ability to mentor QA engineers and provide technical direction on complex testing and automation challenges.

- Demonstrated track record of on-time, high-quality software delivery while driving process improvements and team efficiency.

- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, handle priorities, plan resources, and deliver within timelines.

- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills; able to interface confidently with cross-functional stakeholders.

- Strong collaboration and leadership across Product, Development, and DevOps teams.

- Positive attitude, ownership mindset, and ability to adapt quickly to evolving project requirements.


Good-to-Have Skills :

- Domain Exposure: Hands-on experience or strong understanding of SaaS, CTRM/ETRM, or Metals domain solutions.

- Cloud-Native Testing: Experience testing applications deployed on AWS, Azure, or GCP

- Mobile Testing: Exposure to mobile application testing (manual and automation) 

- AI & Test Intelligence: Awareness of Gen AI in QA and AI-driven testing tools (e.g., Testim, Mabl, Functionize) or experience integrating ML models for test optimization and prioritization.

- Shift-Left & DevOps Integration: Ability to embed testing early in the SDLC and integrate QA seamlessly within CI/CD pipelines.

- Agile at Scale: Experience working with enterprise Agile frameworks like Scrum of Scrums, SAFe,or Kanban for large-scale product delivery.

- Vendor & Partner Management: Skilled in managing outsourced QA and automation vendors, ensuring alignment with internal quality and delivery standards.

- Prior experience working in a product/software-based company is an advantage.

- Compliance & Security Audits: Experience with SOC 2 and ISO 27001 audits is a major advantage, along with knowledge of data privacy and security practices.


Certifications (Preferred) :

- Certified Scrum Master (CSM)

- ISTQB Advanced / CSTE / Certified Agile Tester

- AWS Cloud Practitioner / Azure Fundamentals
