QC Microbiologist

Job ref: QCM Job type: Permanent Location: Newry Closing date: Monday 09 Feb :00 Job Overview The Microbiologist will be involved in routine microbiological testing of raw material, in process and finished product samples and in assisting in the review of water systems on all Norbrook Laboratories Ltd sites in Newry. Main Activities/Tasks Performance of Sterility, Bioburden, Microbiological Plate Assays and Endotoxin testing also Sub-visible particulate and Particle size determinations. Checking of raw data and signing off test records. Analysing test results and taking appropriate action. Identification of Microbiological isolates when required. Filter integrity testing. Assist the Senior Microbiologist to ensure all staff are following the correct Methods of Analysis. Assist the Senior Microbiologist to monitor the level of stock and consumables so that there are adequate resources available to perform the required testing.
