General Responsibilities


. Proficient performance for all QC and raw material specification testing.
. Document results and review for corrections in lab notebooks, designated reports, and data entry logs.
. Communicate results to QA/QC Manager.
. Keep the invested parties informed of QC clearance status for all tested materials.
. Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment and instrumentation.
. Review and approve raw material documentation and maintain record-keeping.
. Maintain and catalog all material retain samples.
. Keep all lab areas clean and orderly; replenish supplies.
. Adherence and monitoring of safety policies.
. Ensure the facility is maintained and auditable to HACCP, FAMI-QS, and GLP / GMP standards.


General Guidance for Key Knowledge/Skills/ Experience 

. Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or related field with biotechnology or Associate’s degree with 2 years’ experience.
. Current knowledge of GLP standards and competency in GLP practices.


. Knowledge of standard QA/QC concepts, practices, and procedures.
. MS Office proficiency
. Competency with QC/Laboratory/Microbiology practices and procedures.
. Demonstrate proactive thinking and problem-solving.
. close attention to detail.
. Ability to accomplish the described duties proficiently.
. Can rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals independently.
. Perform a variety of tasks.
. Work under general supervision.
. Regular, predictable attendance


Other Essential Requirements: 


. Must be able to speak and write in English.
. Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, twist, reach with arms or hands, write & type.
. Ability to see, speak, hear, and smell. Must have depth perception, color vision, and peripheral vision.
. Must be able to use personal protective equipment as required by OSHA standards.
. Able to work around chemicals safely.
. Ability to follow standard operating procedures


Work Environment: 


This role operates in a manufacturing facility, including indoor/outdoor work environments year-round. This role requires the ability to use personal protective equipment as mandated by OSHA standards. The role may work with or around machinery, powered industrial vehicles, electricity, compressed gas cylinders, high pressures, extreme heat & cold, process-related work, moving mechanical parts, wet/slippery floors/surfaces, vibrations, and loud noise levels. This role frequently requires interaction with other employees, external clients, and consultants, as well as working independently. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers. Must be able to interface with digital control systems
