Quality assistant

The Laboratory Assistant supports the day-to-day activities in the laboratory, by performing basic supportive duties like laboratory supplies, waste management, administrative tasks, taking care of samples (fetching, delivering, and storage) as well as by carrying out physical standard tests on product samples to determine the quality of the products, in order to allow the Laboratory Technicians to focus on the more complex test and analysis work
The Laboratory Assistant typically works within a medium to large sized Laboratory, supporting the work of the Laboratory Technicians and (in case of a R&D laboratory) and Researchers. In-depth knowledge of the laboratory and its function is not essential to perform the tasks; a general knowledge of the standard procedures suffices.
