QA Engineer – Automation & Manual (Selenium, Appium)


Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled QA Engineer with experience in both manual and automation testing for web and mobile applications. The ideal candidate will design, build, and maintain test automation using Selenium and Appium , contribute to CI/CD pipelines, and work closely with developers and product teams to ensure high-quality releases.


Key Responsibilities

  • Define test plans, test cases , and traceability to requirements/user stories.
  • Design, develop, and maintain UI automation frameworks for:
  • Web: Selenium WebDriver (Java or Python)
  • Mobile: Appium (Android/iOS on real devices & emulators)
  • Perform API testing using tools such as Postman and Rest Assured.
  • Execute manual testing including smoke, regression, sanity, and exploratory testing.
  • Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab).
  • Analyze test results, track defects, and ensure timely defect closure.
  • Monitor test coverage , pass rates, defect leakage, and release readiness.
  • Conduct basic performance testing (JMeter/Lighthouse) and security testing (OWASP top issues).
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Product Management, and Design teams; participate in design and code reviews.


Must-Have Skills

  • Automation Testing: Selenium (Web), Appium (Mobile)
  • Programming Languages: Java or Python (strong in at least one)
  • Test Frameworks: TestNG / JUnit / PyTest
  • API Testing: Postman, RestAssured; JSON validation and assertions
  • CI/CD & Tools: Git, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI
  • Manual QA: Test case design, defect tracking, regression planning, exploratory testing
  • Mobile QA: Android Studio / Xcode simulators, real devices, device farms


Nice-to-Have Skills

  • BDD: Cucumber / Behave
  • Contract Testing: Pact
  • Visual Testing: Applitools
  • Performance Testing: JMeter, k6
  • Accessibility Testing: WCAG / axe
  • Docker basics for environment setup
  • Monitoring & Analytics Validation: Sentry, Google Analytics
  • SQL basics for data validation (MySQL / PostgreSQL)


Experience Level

  • 1-3 years exp in QA Automation + Manual

Location / Work Mode

  • Hyderabad, Telangana (Regional Candidates are preferred)
