Tekni-Plex is a global materials science company delivering innovative packaging and medical solutions that enhance product safety, sustainability, and performance. Our Ahmedabad Plant, a key facility under the Tekni-Plex Consumer Products division, specializes in EPE Foam Liners, Gaskets, and Dip Tubes catering to Pharmaceutical, Food & Beverage, Household & Industrial, and Personal Care applications. The plant manufactures EPE and PP Foam Products, including Pre-cut Liners, Gaskets, and Rings in Wads, Sheet, and Roll form, available in Co-Extruded and Laminated structures such as Co-Ex PVDC, PP, PET, HD, PVDC, Alu/PET, and others.

Role Overview

The incumbent will be responsible for end-to-end quality strategy, compliance, process control, and continuous improvement.

Candidate Profile

• Degree in Plastic Engineering / Chemistry / Polymer
• PG Diploma from IIP / CIPET preferred
• 12+ years of experience in QC within flexible packaging or polymer manufacturing
• Strong knowledge of polymer materials and physical/mechanical testing
• Exposure to ISO, GMP, SQC, TPM, FMEA, and 7 QC Tools
• Proficient in MS Excel/PowerPoint
• Strong leadership, analytical, and decision-making skills

Key Responsibilities

• Lead plant-level QC operations and drive a strong quality culture
• Define and monitor quality KPIs including rejection rates, CAPA closure, and customer complaints
• Manage incoming, in-process, and final product inspections
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015, ISO 22000:2018, and ISO 15378:2017 (GMP)
• Lead internal, customer, and third-party audits
• Drive root cause analysis, CAPA, and preventive actions
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives (5S, TQM, Six Sigma fundamentals)
• Lead, mentor, and develop the QC team
• Interface with customers on quality issues and technical clarifications
