You efficiently administer samples for scientific analysis by creating records, assigning analytical tests, allocating samples for analysis, maintaining chain-of-custody for controlled samples, inputting results and liaising with internal stakeholders. This role requires you to apply your organizational skills to meet tight deadlines.
**How you will contribute**
You will be responsible for all scientific administrative tasks including lab administration, housekeeping activities and working in accordance with laboratory-set quality standards. Because you will liaise with internal stakeholders, you will always demonstrate high quality customer service, by ensuring that work is done on time, that the analytical data generated is reliability, and that the results are accurate and provided in a timely manner. You will also assist with routine checks/calibrations and control documentation to ensure that only the most current versions are supplied to analysts. This role will require you to work at the highest standards of safety and quality, maintaining a clean, tidy and safe working environment and completing assigned quality actions in a timely manner.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Conduct conformance test on raw materials and finished products.
+ Create and maintain inspection reports and records
+ Ensure raw materials and finished product meat quality specifications before material release
+ Reporting quality issues to relevant stakeholder
+ Working with other departments (e.g., procurement, production) to address quality issues.
+ Communicating with suppliers regarding quality concerns.
+ Collaborating with management on quality-related initiatives.
+ Support elements of site’s quality system, including internal audit, pest control, and sanitation.
**What you will bring**

+ A NITEC or Diploma in Food science or related discipline
+ Competency in the use of generic and specific software packages required for the role including MS Office applications
+ Basic lab equipment, preferably with work experience in a scientific environment
+ Attending to detail, following written instructions and working on multiple activities concurrently
+ Accountability, honesty, hardworking, flexibility and adaptability, and working efficiently on a team
+ Good written and verbal communication skills
