Job Description
Position Summary:
The Quality Control and Work Control Manager is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and integrity of operational data across maintenance and work management systems, including Maximo and MaintainX. This role oversees work control processes, leads data governance efforts, manages the QC program, and provides supervisory oversight to the Work Control and Accounting Support teams. The manager ensures work orders, reporting, and workflow processes meet organizational, safety, and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Control & Data Integrity
Maintain and enforce data accuracy, consistency, and completeness across Maximo, MaintainX, and related systems.
Monitor, audit, and validate work orders, job plans, asset records, PM schedules, inventory entries, and cost data.
Develop QC procedures, checklists, and data correction workflows.
Identify recurring data issues and implement corrective actions or training solutions.
Coordinate with IT and system administrators to resolve data or integration issues.
Work Control Management
Oversee the full lifecycle of work orders-from creation and planning to closeout.
Ensure scheduling, prioritization, and documentation of work comply with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Support planners, schedulers, and maintenance teams with accurate data and standardized workflows.
Monitor labor reporting, materials consumption, and asset tracking for accuracy and compliance.
Team Leadership
Supervise work control staff, including clerks, planners, and data support roles.
Provide oversight to the Accounting Clerk related to data accuracy, coding, and reporting.
Train staff on system usage, data standards, and QC processes.
Conduct performance evaluations and support professional development.
Reporting & Compliance
Produce, review, and distribute operational reports, KPIs, and compliance documentation.
Ensure all reporting meets organizational, regulatory, and audit standards.
Track and analyze trends to support continuous improvement initiatives.
Assist leadership with special projects, audits, and system upgrades.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred (Business, Industrial Technology, Data Management, or related field).
3-5 years of experience in quality control, work control, maintenance operations, or asset management systems.
Supervisory or lead experience strongly preferred.
Knowledge & Skills:
Strong understanding of CMMS/EAM systems (Maximo, MaintainX, or similar).
Excellent attention to detail with a focus on data integrity.
Ability to interpret technical data, cost data, and workflow documentation.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Clear communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
