QUALITY ENGINEER
We are looking for Sr. Quality Engineer -
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Assurance & Control
Monitor and control quality of injection moulded components during production.
Develop, implement, and maintain inspection standards, testing methods, and control plans.
Conduct in-process and final inspections as per specifications.
Validate moulding processes to ensure consistent product quality.
Documentation & Compliance
Prepare and maintain quality documents: PPAP, APQP, FMEA, Control Plans, Work Instructions, and SOPs.
Ensure compliance with ISO / IATF and other customer-specific requirements.
Maintain records for audits and customer approvals.
Customer Handling
Address customer quality complaints and implement corrective & preventive actions (CAPA).
Conduct root cause analysis using problem-solving tools (5 Why, Fishbone, 8D, etc.).
Liaise with customers for quality audits, approvals, and feedback.
Continuous Improvement
Identify opportunities for process improvement to reduce scrap, rework, and defects.
Support lean manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives.
Lead quality improvement projects in collaboration with production and tool room teams.
Team Leadership
Guide and mentor junior quality engineers and inspectors.
Provide training to production staff on quality awareness and standards.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge of injectioin molding processes, machines, and tooling.
Proficiency in quality tools & techniques (SPC, MSA, 8D, APQP, FMEA).
Experience in handling measuring instruments ( Vernier, Micrometer, Profile Projector, CMM etc.
Familiar with ISO/ IATF standards and documentation.
Strong problem- solving and analytical skills.
Good Communication and customer handling skills.
Ability to lead a team & drive quality culture.
Qualification & Experience:
Diploma / B.Tech / BE in Mechanical / Plastics / Polymer Engineering.
5–10 years of experience in quality assurance/control in an injection moulding company.
Exposure to automotive, medical, or consumer goods plastic components preferred
