Job Description
Quality Planning & Implementation
Implement and monitor the Quality Assurance & Quality Control (QA/QC) plan at project sites in line with contractual requirements.
Ensure construction and installation activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, codes, and standards.
Inspection & Testing
Conduct and witness inspections for civil, electrical, and mechanical works as applicable to the project scope.
Verify installation quality for DC & AC electrical works, including cable laying, terminations, earthing, ACDB/DCDB, inverters, and related systems.
Review and witness tests such as IR, continuity, earth resistance, concrete cube tests, and material tests.
Material Quality Control
Inspect incoming materials to ensure compliance with approved makes, technical specifications, and test certificates.
Maintain Material Inspection Reports (MIRs) and ensure proper storage and handling of materials.
Documentation & Records
Prepare and maintain ITPs, checklists, inspection reports, test records, and quality logs.
Ensure proper documentation for audits, client reviews, and project handover.
Support preparation of as-built drawings and final quality dossiers.
Non-Conformance & Corrective Action
Identify quality deviations and raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
Monitor implementation and closure of corrective and preventive actions.
Support root cause analysis for recurring quality issues.
Coordination & Client Interface
Coordinate with site engineers, contractors, and QA/QC teams to resolve quality issues.
Participate in client inspections, audits, and quality review meetings.
Ensure client quality requirements are met throughout project execution.
Compliance & Continuous Improvement
Ensure adherence to ISO 9001 quality management system requirements.
Support internal and external quality audits.
Suggest improvements to enhance construction quality and reduce rework.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s / Diploma in Engineering (Civil / Electrical / Mechanical).
8-12 years of experience as a QA/QC Engineer, preferably in solar, renewable energy, or EPC projects.
Key Skills
Strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures and documentation.
Familiarity with IEC/IS standards relevant to solar and power projects.
Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and test procedures.
Good coordination, reporting, and client communication skills.
