**Job Title: Quality Technician**

**Job Description**

The quality technician collaborates directly with the quality assurance team to enhance manufacturing processes by employing various testing and inspection methods. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of regulatory requirements to evaluate, document, and recommend improvements for the quality and correction of manufactured products. Additionally, the technician will act as a quality assurance resource for department supervisors, addressing problem identification, resolution, and loss reporting.

**Responsibilities**

+ Perform in-process quality checks throughout the manufacturing process to ensure compliance with instructions and specifications.
+ Conduct internal audits and participate in the PPAP/First Article review process.
+ Assist in creating outgoing inspection instructions for individual assemblies.
+ Initiate and complete RAs, CAPAs, and NCs.
+ Perform end-of-production inspections on wiring harnesses.
+ Develop, apply, and maintain quality requirements and standards for development and manufacturing products.
+ Collaborate closely with the Quality Manager to continuously improve processes and strive for leaner manufacturing.
+ Work alongside support staff, including Technicians, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Supervisor, and Materials/Warehouse, to resolve issues.
+ Report any concerns regarding quality, processes, equipment, materials, and labor to the Quality Manager and Production Manager.
+ Investigate root causes for quality concerns and issues.
+ Support continuous improvement efforts and maintain a clean and organized work area.
+ Adhere to documented policies and procedures as set by the company.
+ Promote and execute quality standards, inspection processes, test methodologies, quality plans, documents, and reports.
+ Review customers' purchase orders, contracts, and change requests to ensure necessary criteria and provisions are included in quality and process plans.
+ Maintain a safe work environment.

**Essential Skills**

+ First Article Inspection experience.
+ 2 years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
+ Proficiency in quality control, assurance, and inspection.
+ Ability to read blueprints and perform quality checks using microscopes.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**

+ Familiarity with hand crimping, soldering, and wire harnesses.
+ Knowledge of ISO 9000 and IPC requirements.

**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mankato, MN.

**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
