Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor - Civil with over 10 years of expertise in managing cost estimation, budgeting, and contract administration for Annex Building projects within Airport Infrastructure across pan india. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of civil works, construction methodologies, and airport-specific requirements, regulations, and standards. This role demands technical proficiency, analytical skills, and the ability to deliver cost-efficient solutions in complex airport environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for civil works, including foundations, structural elements, pavements, and earthworks for annex buildings.
- Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring alignment with financial goals and constraints.
- Analyze project drawings, specifications, and contracts to determine accurate cost projections specific to airport infrastructure.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive BOQs for civil works in airport annex building projects.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of BOQs based on project requirements and design documents.
- Update BOQs to reflect design changes, variations, and scope adjustments.
- Assist in the preparation of tender documents and evaluate contractor bids for civil works in airport projects.
- Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to achieve cost-effective procurement of materials and services.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and contractual obligations specific to airport standards.
- Manage contracts for civil works, including preparation, review, and administration.
- Monitor contractor performance, ensuring adherence to contractual terms, airport-specific regulations, and project timelines.
- Handle claims, variations, and disputes related to civil contracts.
- Monitor project costs and expenditures, identifying potential cost overruns and recommending corrective actions.
- Prepare regular cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and financial summaries for stakeholders.
- Conduct value engineering exercises to optimize project costs without compromising quality or airport safety standards.
- Work closely with airport project managers, engineers, and architects to ensure seamless integration of civil works.
- Ensure compliance with aviation regulations, including ICAO, FAA, and other airport-specific standards.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with a focus on civil works in annex building projects within airports.
- Strong knowledge of civil works, cost estimation techniques, and construction methodologies specific to airport environments.
- Proficiency in quantity surveying software such as CostX, PlanSwift, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other design software for interpreting civil drawings.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
