Quantity Surveyor

Job Brief

We are looking for a reliable quantity surveyor to join our team of professionals. The quantity surveyor will be tasked with analyzing existing budgets and making improvements, reviewing plans and preparing quantity estimates, negotiating with various contractors and vendors, as well as building relationships with site managers.



Job Responsibilities

•Establish and maintain professional relationships with external and internal stakeholders

• Advise on contract clauses related to project quantities

• Calculate quantities for different project BOQ based on agreed upon quantity surveying standards

• Check quantity surveys submitted by contractors

• Liaise with site managers, clients, contractors, and subcontractors

• Prepare reports, analyses, contracts, budgets, risk assessment, and other documents

• Identify risks surrounding the project and the likelihood of cost variation

• Advise managers and clients on improvements and new strategies

• Keep track of materials and ordering more when required

• Document any changes in design and updating budgets



Job Specifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering

• 3-5 years of general construction estimating experience, financial experience, construction experience, or related field

• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

• Strong aptitude for numbers, spreadsheets, and financial reports

• Experience in Revit is a plus

• In-depth understanding of construction, materials, pricing, and industry

• Excellent negotiating and interpersonal skills

• Ability to organize, plan, and strategize
