What does the team do?
At ShareChat, India’s largest vernacular content platform, the Content Operations team plays a pivotal role in defining and executing strategies for creating and acquiring impactful content, driving monetization efforts, and contributing to overall business growth. Collaborating with creators, partners, product teams, and feed teams, the team ensures the delivery of high-quality, engaging content that resonates with diverse Indian audiences across multiple formats, including audio and video.
What You’ll Do?
Write emotionally charged, fast-paced scripts for Hindi micro-dramas, ensuring maximum viewer retention and binge-ability. Craft authentic, colloquial dialogues that reflect real-life conversations across Hindi-speaking regions — using relatable slang, idioms, and cultural references that resonate with mass audiences. Develop cliffhanger-driven episode structures with high emotional peaks (drama, romance, revenge, comedy), hooking viewers and driving episode-to-episode engagement. Balance emotional storytelling with commercial objectives, while maintaining narrative coherence across series arcs. Master "show, don't tell" storytelling — using visual narratives and storyboarding to communicate complex emotions and plot twists. Stay sharp on trending microdrama themes, viral plot devices, and regional preferences to create content that feels both fresh and familiar. Monitor performance analytics and audience feedback to refine character arcs, dialogue style, and narrative hooks in real time. Who You Are
Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree Background in Creative Writing, Literature, Film, Journalism, or related fields 7–10 years of content writing in television, OTT, radio, digital publishing, or advertising. Native-level proficiency in Hindi with the ability to write across tones — from emotional to witty to dramatic. Strong grasp of storytelling techniques, character arcs, and promotional beats — especially in Hindi entertainment. Deep understanding of Indian content consumption habits and regional preferences. Thrives in fast-paced environments, multitasks well, and delivers quality work within tight deadlines. Where you’ll be?
