The R2R Delivery Head is responsible for end-to-end ownership of the Record-to-Report (R2R) function, driving operational excellence, service delivery, and large-scale finance transformation. This role combines strong accounting domain expertise with a transformation mindset to deliver accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting while leading digital enablement and continuous improvement initiatives across global teams.

Core Responsibilities

End-to-End R2R Ownership

  • Own the complete Record-to-Report cycle including journal entries, reconciliations, month-end close, fixed assets, inventory accounting, and intercompany processes.
  • Ensure high standards of accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to defined policies, SOPs, and accounting standards.
  • Lead and manage large teams (70+ associates) across offshore and onshore locations.

Service Delivery Management

  • Own SLAs, KPIs, and business metrics to consistently meet and exceed client expectations.
  • Drive operational rigor, stability, and continuous improvement in day-to-day delivery.

Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the primary interface for clients, auditors, and senior internal stakeholders.
  • Provide clear communication on performance, risks, compliance matters, and transformation progress.

Risk & Compliance

  • Ensure strong compliance with internal controls, RACM, FMEA, and statutory requirements.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks through robust governance frameworks.

Transformation & Strategic Responsibilities

Process Optimization

  • Identify inefficiencies and drive process re-engineering across the R2R value chain.
  • Implement automation initiatives using RPA, AI, and ERP enhancements.
  • Standardize processes across geographies and business units using frameworks such as SIPOC.
  • Drive reduction in ad-hoc journals and manual interventions.

Digital Enablement

  • Lead adoption of digital workflow tools and ERP platforms for reconciliations, close, and reporting.
  • Leverage analytics for faster close cycles, predictive insights, and improved decision-making.

Change Management

  • Lead cultural and operational change initiatives linked to finance transformation.
  • Enable teams through training on new processes, tools, and AI-led digital upskilling programs.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

  • Foster a culture of innovation focused on cost reduction, accuracy improvement, and scalability.
  • Benchmark operations against industry best practices and drive process maturity assessments.

Strategic Alignment

  • Align R2R transformation initiatives with broader organizational goals such as faster close, real-time reporting, and finance modernization.
  • Partner with FP&A, Tax, and Treasury teams for integrated finance transformation.
  • Drive cost optimization, band-mix improvements, and onshore-to-offshore role transitions.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Strong expertise in accounting principles and end-to-end R2R processes.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP platforms and digital finance tools.
  • Proven capability in automation, process transformation, and change leadership.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Approximately 10+ years of experience in Finance & Accounting, with deep R2R domain expertise and leadership exposure.
