Radio Communications Technician – FIFO Mining Project
Supporting a large resources industry operation in Western Australia
- Minimum 6-month contract, starting ASAP
- Onsite FIFO roster: 8 days on / 6 days off
- Hands‑on role installing and configuring Tait radios and vehicle‑based radio communications equipment
About the Role
Green Light Worldwide is seeking an experienced Radio Communications Technician to support a mining industry project focused on the installation and setup of radio communications systems across operational vehicles and equipment. This is a FIFO‑based role requiring strong hands‑on capability with Tait radios or similar radio communications technologies, working within a safety‑critical, operational environment. The position offers stability through a long‑term contract with an immediate start.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and commission Tait radio systems in vehicles and operational equipment
- Set up and test radio communications to ensure reliable onsite connectivity
- Troubleshoot faults and perform basic maintenance on radio comms equipment
- Work closely with onsite technical and operations teams to meet deployment schedules
- Ensure all work is completed in line with site safety, compliance, and documentation standards
Requirements
- Proven experience installing and configuring Tait radios or similar radio communications equipment
- Strong hands‑on background in radio communications or field‑based technical roles
- Comfortable working FIFO rosters in remote mining environments
- Safety‑focused mindset with strong attention to detail
- Previous mining or heavy industry experience highly regarded
