Responsibilities
- Interpret and report on a broad spectrum of medical imaging studies, including X-ray, Ultrasound, CT Scan, MRI, and Mammography, with clinical accuracy and timeliness.
- Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, and multidisciplinary teams to provide diagnostic insights that guide patient management and treatment strategies.
- Perform and supervise image-guided procedures such as biopsies, aspirations, and drainages when required.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, radiation protection standards, and regulatory requirements in all imaging procedures.
- Maintain detailed, legible, and comprehensive radiology reports using electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Participate in quality assurance initiatives, peer reviews, and continuing medical education (CME) to uphold clinical excellence.
- Contribute to the development and optimization of imaging protocols to improve diagnostic accuracy and patient throughput.
- Provide expert consultation and second opinions when requested by referring clinicians.
- Stay current with advancements in imaging technology, clinical guidelines, and emerging diagnostic techniques.
Requirements
- MBBS degree with a postgraduate qualification in Radiology (MD/DNB in Radiology) from a recognized medical institution.
- Valid registration with the Medical Council of India (MCI) or equivalent regulatory body.
- Minimum of 2 years of post-qualification clinical experience in a hospital or diagnostic imaging center.
- Proficiency in interpreting and reporting on X-ray, Ultrasound, CT Scan, MRI, and Mammography studies.
- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Familiarity with PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication Systems) and EMR platforms.
- Commitment to patient safety, ethical practice, and continuous professional growth.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage high-volume caseloads, and meet strict reporting deadlines.
