Key Responsibilities:

• Understand the project requirements and deliverables as outlined by the supervisor/manager
• Conduct literature searches using tools such as SciFinder, Reaxys, and other scientific search engines
• Comprehend and discuss MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets) with supervisor and team members
• Identify and mitigate potential safety risks with the guidance of the Manager
• Plan, set up, monitor, and work up chemical reactions independently
• Monitor reaction progress using standard analytical techniques such as TLC, GC, HPLC, LCMS, etc.
• Isolate products and optimize reaction conditions to improve yield and efficiency
• Purify compounds using methods like chromatography, distillation, and crystallization
• Perform characterization and identification of compounds using UV, IR, NMR, LCMS, GCMS, etc.
