  • Establish the company's R&D and Innovation strategy; manage the annual roadmap and budget.
  • Lead projects focused on developing new materials for engineering plastics.
  • Conduct improvement projects aimed at enhancing existing product performance and reducing production costs.
  • Plan laboratory studies and product testing processes; analyze and report results.
  • Provide technical leadership during pilot production and mass production transition phases.
  • Develop customized formulations and engineering solutions based on customer requirements.
  • Ensure effective R&D project planning, resource management, risk analysis, and technical documentation.
  • Manage application and execution processes for R&D support programs such as TÜBİTAK, KOSGEB, and Horizon Europe.
  • Conduct patent searches, competitor analyses, and monitor technological trends.
  • Oversee R&D laboratory infrastructure, equipment maintenance, and calibration processes.
  • Manage the R&D team, perform performance evaluations, and foster an innovation-oriented
  • Scale up customer-specific sample studies to large-scale production; collaborate with sales and business development teams to optimize and improve the product portfolio.
  • Stay up to date with engineering plastics and polymer application trends across industries to identify product improvement opportunities, enhance the company's performance, and contribute to achieving corporate objectives.

    A successful R&D Manager should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Polymer, Chemical, or Materials Engineering (Master's or PhD preferred).
  • Minimum
  • Advanced expertise in extrusion, injection molding, additive systems, polymer rheology, and testing methodologies.
  • Proven experience in R&D project management, laboratory management, and technical reporting.
  • Knowledge of preparing and executing publicly funded projects (TÜBİTAK, KOSGEB, etc.).
  • Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and innovative thinking skills.
  • Preferably good command of English.
