The Opportunity

We are looking for a highly motivated Power Electronics Modelling & Simulation Expert to join our Product Innovation & Development team. You will contribute to the design, simulation, validation, and commissioning of advanced power conversion systems for renewable energy and energy storage applications, working in a collaborative and international environment.

This role offers the opportunity to work across the full product development lifecycle, from concept and modelling to laboratory validation and certification.

How You’ll Make An Impact

  • Define and execute validation, proof-of-concept, and certification tests for power electronics hardware and software components, both in laboratory and field environments.
  • Perform commissioning activities for power conversion and control systems, including interfaces with photovoltaic and energy storage systems.
  • Analyse logs, signals, errors, and performance metrics, generating clear, reusable technical reports to support engineering, quality, and certification teams.
  • Participate in defining validation strategies, test plans, procedures, and acceptance criteria, and ensure full traceability from requirements to final reports.
  • Manage test automation, data collection using laboratory instrumentation, and maintain validation and HIL test setups.
  • Support component approval, product certification processes, and compliance with applicable standards and grid codes.

Your Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or an equivalent technical field (minimum requirement).
  • Solid professional experience in validation of electronic products and/or embedded software, including laboratory test benches and HIL systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of power electronics converters, electrical system design, and control, with hands-on experience using laboratory instrumentation.
  • Experience with prototype testing, customer tests, commissioning activities, and preparation of validation and certification documentation.
  • Knowledge of standards such as UL1741, IEC62477, IEC62109, IEC60076, and grid code compliance is highly valued.
  • High level of proficiency in Spanish and English, strong safety awareness, analytical mindset, and a proactive, self-driven attitude.
